Little Treasures Parent & Toddler Playgroup
Every Monday during school term time, our playgroup meets in the Parochial Hall 10:30am through to 12 noon. Open to all members of the community, this group helps to give parents and minders time to unwind and have fun and safe environment. Often raising children at this early stage in life is both exhausting and isolating. Come and enjoy adult conversation over tea/coffee and a jammy scone! Every week there is group singing of favourite children’s songs, celebration of birthdays, and an interactive craft. All these things work together to give children social skills at a young age and an appreciation of the goodness of God’s love for everyone.

Champions Holiday Club 2024
About
Who runs the Holiday Club?
The Holiday Club is run by Clonakilty Methodist Church and Kilgarriffe Church of Ireland and complies with both churches’ codes of practice for working with children. See www.clonakiltychurch.ie or www.clonakiltymethodist.com Facebook: Kilgarriffe Union of Parishes or Methodist Churches in West Cork.

What happens at the Club?
This year we are following a programme called “Champions” which uses the analogy of the Olympic games to explore how Jesus ‘ran the race’ for God. It starts off with the story of Jesus as a young boy in the Temple, and over five days presents five themes that every good athlete hopes to achieve: Direction, avoid Distraction, Dedication, Determination, and finally, Decoration. With Bible stories and the Olympic theme, children will experience drama, games, songs, puppets, crafts, memory verses, quizzes, sports, silly fun and much more!

Where is it being held?
The Parochial Hall, Clonakilty (beside The Chunky Chip). Eircode P85 XC64

How much does it cost?
The total cost for the five mornings is €35 per child; €60 for two children from the same family; and €80 for three. We try and keep costs low as all the helpers are volunteers. Please pay cash at the door, on arrival on Monday 22nd July.

What age is it for?
The club is for children aged 5-12 years.
